2021 Essex Pairs at
Potters 29th January to 1st February
On an annual basis The Essex Open Pairs
Competition is held at Potters Resort, Hopton on Sea, Norfolk.
The Competition is organised and run on behalf of Potters Resort
and Essex County CBA by Peter Orrin & Martin Bennet.
Peter & Martin do all the booking for you, as well as running
the event during the weekend.
Over 200 Carpet Bowlers took part in the Competition played last
month, from Essex and the surrounding Counties, with additional
visitors from as far a field as Scotland and Holland.
The event has been agreed with Potters
Resort, to take place next year over the weekend of Friday 29th
January to Monday 1st February 2021.
The Pairs Competition itself takes place in the International
Arena on the Saturday & Sunday with all Bowlers guaranteed
Five matches in the Group stages before the knockouts take place
on Sunday afternoon.
There are no bowls in the evening which allows all attending
to enjoy a leisurely Dinner followed by the outstanding entertainment
provided by the Potters Theatre Company.
All attendees have access to all the Potters facilities throughout
the day, when their own matches are not being played.
Peter & Martin have again negotiated
with Potters Resort, substantially reduced prices for this Block
Booking which is well below Potters normal Brochure prices.
They have been initially allocated 200 places at these prices
which will be held until the end of June 2020.
This includes Bungalow accommodation from £199 and Hotel
accommodation from £279 (in both cases + a £5 compulsary
cancellation insurance fee).

application form and send with their deposit of £40 per
person + £4 per person competition entry fee as soon as
possible to avoid disappointment.
