A Bedfordshire County Team took part in the National County Championships at Potters, Norfolk from 10th November to the 13th November 2017.

Since that first year we entered in 2011, we have never fielded a complete Bedfordshire team. We have always relied on help from other counties to make the numbers up. This year we had a full squad.

At one stage on the first day we were lying in 4th place and beating some good county teams along the way.

We made a terrific start on day two picking up 11 points out of 12 against Hertfordshire and Northumberland respectively anbd picked up a total of 21 points on the day, against some stiff competition.

Over all we attained 34 points and despite finishing in 8th place, we were delighted that we finished off the bottom of the league since our debut back in 2011.

Everyone who took part gave their all and Mike and myself would like to thank you all for a great weekend, not only for the bowling but on the social front as well.
